What if your repository could tell its own story?
Together with longtime collaborator Arpad Ray, we created Repography — a GitHub app that turns commits, contributors, and activity into visual narratives. Live dashboards embed directly into repos, while posters immortalise and celebrate the effort.
The Challenge
Code commits are human effort, yet invisible. We built a design system — branding, UX flows, and templates — that makes them visible, shareable, and scalable. From solo repos to enterprise orgs, the visuals bridge technical complexity with human meaning.
The Solution
We treated each repo as a living record. Posters turned commit patterns and lifecycles into radial charts and heatmaps. Dashboards surfaced live insights through clear UI. Cohesive palettes, icons, and typography kept the system simple, consistent, and ready to scale
The Impact
Today, 1,500+ developers and teams use it to see their code’s story unfold. Repography gives code a voice. Contributors see impact, teams celebrate progress, projects gain identity.
